Easter Egg Hunt

The boys had a great time at the neighborhood Easter egg hunt! The weather was fairly cool this year, but at least it didn't rain. After the hunt, we shared a nice breakfast with our neighbors in the church. We live in a fantastic neighborhood and couldn't ask for better neighbors!

The Easter bunny also visited our house on Easter Sunday. Dylan LOVED finding candy all around the house and kept looking throughout the day, thinking there would be more. He actually found a few more pieces. He now thinks the Easter bunny will be coming every week!

OK, we just let him walk around in front of us. All he wanted to do was pick-up the candy and throw it at this point.



Dylan was also becoming a little impatient before the hunt.






Off they go! Dylan just took off running across the field at first before he realized he should start picking up the eggs. Once he got the hang of it, he managed to get a good basket full.



This is my favorite picture of Austin and Mike at the hunt. Austin loved putting the candy in the basket, which plays into one of his favorite activities, filling and emptying containers.

Once Austin had a few pieces of candy in his basket, all he wanted to do was eat!

Dylan kept asking about his friends, Zach, Jacob and Maddie at the breakfast. He finally found them at the top of the stairs.



Austin just had to climb up and join them!

Again, once Austin had a few pieces of candy, he just wanted to sit in that corner and eat.

Memory Lane

Austin's first Easter. He was 11 weeks old and about 3 weeks post lip repair surgery.

Dylan was able to participate in our own Easter egg hunt at home.

Here is Dylan at his first neighborhood Easter egg hunt when he was 16 months old. The weather was perfect that day. Similar to Austin's first experience, Dylan mostly sat and wanted to eat candy.
