Thanksgiving Trip to Kennewick

Mike's Mom hosted a fantastic Thanksgiving this year! Dylan and Austin loved playing with their cousins and finally meeting Uncle Tim! Terri cooked an amazing 26 pound turkey along with all the great fixins and many desserts and treats.

Dylan was sooo excited to sit next to his older cousins, Christian and Hayden.

Pat enjoys this gigantic bag of popcorn Shannon received for her birthday the day before Thanksgiving.

Dylan and Austin spent a lot of time hanging out with their cousin MaKinna. It was nice that she was willing to entertain them!

Uncle Pat and Uncle Tim also helped out in the entertainment department!

Halloween Night

Better late than never! I know I am just now getting around to posting about Halloween in December! Things have been busy lately.

Halloween was so much fun this year! The weather was fairly mild, not extremely cold and the boys loved trick-or-treating. However, the day before Halloween, Dylan fell and suffered from a HUGE fat lip. He ended up dressed as Superman with a bloody looking fat lip. Not exactly fitting for Superman, but oh well!

Austin's dinosaurus costume was a little small, but so adorable it didn't matter. I thought he would protest it, but he actually seemed to like it.

Look how swollen his lip is!

Carving pumpkins was a lot of fun this year. Dylan was able to help out quite a bit too, mostly punching out the carved pieces. He also scooped some seeds and guts out of the little pumpkins, but he was sure not to get his hand inside. The slimy feeling was too gross for him!

The boys are so excited at their first house!

They loved riding in the wagon and it made things a lot easier for us. However, Austin did want to walk for a long time and we ended up straggling behind Mike and Dylan.

By the time we were ending the evening, Superman needed a coat!

You can really see how far his lip was sticking out with this profile shot.

Both kids loved digging into their candy when we returned home. Dylan also loved giving out candy to the remaining kids out trick-or-treating.

Cornbelly's

It's now our annual tradition to go to Cornbelly's for the fall festival. We spent several hours there and the kids had a blast. There is so much to do, we didn't even have time to enjoy all the attractions.

The jumping pillows are one of the best attractions and I love this picture of Dylan mid-jump.

Austin was much more timid and relied on Daddy for support.

I think both kids could have spent the entire time at this activity. The water pushes little plastic ducks back and forth to the kids at the pumps on each side.

I love this picture of Austin throwing corn up in the air.

The peddle cars were located in a much more difficult area this year, so Dylan couldn't peddle nearly as fast and it just wasn't as fun. Last year, they were in a packed dirt area and they could really get going.

Austin was so interested in petting this "cow" that he wouldn't stay still for long.

This is the best we could do for a family shot.

We are waiting for the pig races to start. Unfortunately, it took too long by the time they started and too much talking between races! The kids quickly got bored so we went on to the next activity.

The haunted hayride was a great hit.

We had most of the truck to ourselves and it was quite an enjoyable ride.

There were several automated creatures throughout the ride. Here is the witch that was timed perfectly over Mike.

By the end of the day, Austin was exhausted and took a brief nap.

This is a VERY brief video of the jumping pillows and peddle cars. I am now using You Tube, so the video quality is better and you can actually push the FULL SCREEN mode for a larger video.
